Nights of Cabiria at Jacob Burns

As Westchester Live said in his previous post, Fellini's Nights of Cabiria is the second saddest film ever made. It is also one of the finest. Giuletta Masina gives one of the great film performances ever. It just broke Westchester Live's heart into little tiny pieces.

It is playing at the Jacob Burns on June 4th and 6th as part of their Classic Italian Cinema series.

The Jacob Burns Film Center festival of classic Italian cinema starts this Friday, June 4th. Some of the highlights include:

- Visconti's The Leopard and Ossessione (banned by Mussolini)

- Fellini's Nights of Cabiria (the second saddest movie ever made)

- Di Sica's Bicycle Thieves (the saddest movie ever made)

- Argento's The Bird With the Crystal Plumage (Westchester Live has never seen this one!)

- Leone's Once Upon a Time In the West
